Nemetex Nemeth Back-Translator™

If you found the evaluation copy of Nemetex Nemeth Back-Translatorä (Version 2.3.2) met your needs, a full commercial version is available for permanent purchase for $99.99 USD. Purchase of a full commercial version includes free version upgrades for two years from the date of purchase! To purchase Version 2.3.2 of Nemetex Nemeth Back-Translatorä, follow the steps below:

1. Review User's Agreement.

2. Review User's Guide.

3. Load/verify correct Java installed.

4. Load Java Screen Reader Interface Software (optional for accessibility).

5. Load/verify LaTeX software.

6. Download and install Nemetex program.

7. Obtain evaluation license key.

8. Save license key to Nemetex folder.

9. Turn-off/verify off UAC (Windows Vista^Ò or Windows^Ò 7 only).

10. Click on the Nemetex icon to start the program.

11. Turn UAC back on if desired (Windows Vista^Ò or Windows^Ò 7 only).

Detailed Procedure

Note: If you have already successfully evaluated Nemetex Version 2.3 (including Updates 1 and 2) and simply wish to purchase a permanent license for the same computer, please skip to Step 7. If you evaluated a previous version of Nemetex (downloaded before January 1, 2009), before proceeding, please uninstall Nemetex from the Start Menu, then Programs, then Nemetex, then Uninstall.

2. Review the latest Nemetex Nemeth Back Translator User's Guide. (To save a copy, right click, then select "Save Target As" and specify where you want to store it.) You will also receive a bundled copy when you perform step 6 below.

3. Verify you have the most recent version of Java loaded on your computer by visiting http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp and following the on-screen instructions. Firewall and/or security software settings may need to be adjusted to allow the verification and update processes to work.

4. If JAWS^â for Windows^â is to be used with Nemetex, the Javaä Access Bridge For Windows Operating System interface software must be installed (available for 32-bit operating systems only). It can be found for free download at http://java.sun.com/products/accessbridge/ (install the most recent version). The Javaä Access Bridge For Windows Operating System must be installed, or re-installed if previously installed, after installing a Javaä RTE update as discussed in step 3 above.

If Windows-Eyes™ is to be used with Nemetex, interface software must also be installed. WE4Java 0.9.19 by Jay Macarty is the recommended application to be installed (available for 32-bit operating systems only). It can be found for free download from GW Micro Script Central at http://www.gwmicro.com/Script_Central/Scripts/Script_Details/?scriptid=1222 (install the most recent version). WE4Java must be installed, or re-installed if previously installed, after installing a Javaä RTE update as discussed in step 3 above.

5. The final output of the Nemetex Nemeth Back-Translatorä program will be a .TEX file which is then readable by any standard LaTeX-based publishing software program such as TeXnicCenter or a commercial product such as Scientific Notebook. If you do not have a commercial LaTeX-based publishing software program such as Scientific Notebook installed on your PC, click here for information about downloading both TeXnicCenter and MiKTex. 6. Install the Nemetex Nemeth Back-Translatorä main program by downloading or running directly the set-up file (≈ 2 MB) upon signifying below you have read and accept the User's Agreement. When asked whether to Open or Run the file, we recommend you choose to save it to "C:\Program Files" (or "C:\Program Files (x86)" for 64-bit Windows Vista^Ò or Windows^Ò 7), make a back-up copy, then open/run it from there. You may need to adjust firewall or security settings to successfully complete the download.

After running the setup file, the program will have been installed, but cannot be started without a license key, which will be e-mailed to you after purchasing it in the Step 7 below.

7. Click on the [first] PayPal logo below to purchase one or more full commercial license keys at regular price. During payment, please ensure your e-mail address is provided as an "Additional Instruction" at the end of the payment process so we can send the license key exactly to where you wish. 8. After you receive the license key file, simply save it into the folder on your computer containing the program (normally "C:\Program Files\Nemetex" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nemetex" for 64-bit Windows Vista^Ò or Windows^Ò 7). If you have already successfully evaluated Nemetex, it is likely your computer will ask you if you want to replace the existing file "C:\Program Files\Nemetex\license.key" (or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nemetex\license.key" for 64-bit Windows Vista^Ò or Windows^Ò 7). If so, check Yes. Do not attempt to open and read the file (not required; Nemetex will read it automatically). We recommend you include the license key in any back-up copy you make of the program.

9. For Windows Vista^Ò or Windows^Ò 7, turn-off User Access Control (UAC) (if not already turned off) to allow Nemetex to properly store your new license key for future use upon start-up. Do so by entering the Control Panel via the Start-up Menu, selecting "User Accounts and Family Safety", then "User Accounts." Note that if you have the Control Panel set-up for the Classic View, you can select "User Accounts" directly. Then uncheck the box next to "Turn User Account Control On or Off." Finally, restart your computer to effect the change in UAC status.

10. Click on the Nemetex icon on your desktop to start the program and follow on-screen instructions.

11. Once Nemetex is up and running, if desired, turn UAC (for Windows Vista^Ò or Windows^Ò 7) back on by performing step 9 again, but this time by leaving the check box checked instead of unchecked.

For two years from the date of purchase, whenever we issue a new version (does not include new editions such as the College or Professional Editions when developed) of Nemetex Nemeth Back-Translatorä, we will send you an e-mail with a free updated license key and recommend that you download the latest version of the program from our web site and install it in place of your current version!
